As part of the Offshore Wind Farm Project in the Bay of Saint Brieuc (France), Louis Dreyfus TravOcean and UXO Control have been awarded by Ailes Marines (owned by Iberdrola) to carry out an offshore campaign in order to identify and eliminate unexposed ammunition (UXO) on the site of the Saint Brieuc wind farm.
These operations aimed to inspect, identify and dispose of or relocate underwater objects identified as potential unexposed explosive ordnance or presenting risks to prepare the site for future offshore installation works.
Louis Dreyfus TravOcean was responsible for the chartering of maritime means, the mobilization and demobilization of equipment, permits and onshore logistics as well as the supply of ROV 113 for its first operations as a back up ROV.
This offshore campaign took place over around 7 weeks, from the beginning of August 2020 until mid September 2020. The port of call chosen for the project was the port of Saint Malo in France.
