The JOHAN SVERDRUP project consisted of a PRM (Permanent Reservoir Monitoring) cable burial on the Johan Sverdrup field on behalf of Alcatel Submarine Networks. The burial equipment, consisting of the ROVJET 1206, was mobilized on the Olympic Electra, a Norwegian Multi Purpose Vessel.
The slicing was carried out in parallel with the installation of the system carried out by the ILE DE BATZ cable ship on which the ROVSEE developed and operated by Louis Dreyfus Travocean was mobilized.
2 campaigns were necessary to complete this project:
• June to August 2019: 200 km
• June to November 2020: 440 km
The burial depth required for this project was 1.0. During these 2 campaigns, the teams had to face the difficult weather in the North Sea, especially at the end of the summer.
The Olympic Electra was mobilized and demobilized in Dunkirk on the logistics base of LDTVO.
