Louis Dreyfus Travocean successfully completes 2 trenching projects with ROVJET 806.

Beginning of November, the ROVJET 806 trenching team came back to Dunkirk offshore base after 6 months spent on the Topaz Commander, a DP2 offshore support vessel. The team completed 2 trenching projects for VBMS, a leading marine contractor for subsea power cable installation:

  • The Wintershall project with the burial of a 19 km umbilical between 2 offshore platforms located in the Dutch sector of the North Sea and belonging to Wintershall Noordzee B.V. The post-lay burial and survey operations were performed beginning of August in less than 10 days.
  • The Butendiek offshore windfarm project with the burial of 86 array cables on a total length of 81 km. This windfarm of 80 turbines is developed by WPD and is located in the German North Sea. Thanks to the high level of reliability of the ROVJET 806, the post-lay burial and survey of the 86 infield cables was performed in 100 dives only.
